FOTC highlights one of our members, Anthony Young, a Milton Keynes based photographer. Anthony is currently creating a photographic project and exhibition centred on the African Caribbean Elders living in Milton Keynes.
These Elders took the brave decision to start a new life in the UK, during the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s. Their presence had a profound effect on what it means to be British and to be treated as a human being.
With October being Black History Month, Anthony's exhibition took place at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone in Milton Keynes. "On the Shoulders of Giants" is a tribute to the Windrush generation who built lives in Britain while holding onto their Caribbean identity.
